More About Crayon Rocks
Educator Barbara Lee DaBoll wanted a crayons—typically a child’s first writing tool—that students with grip strength problems and disorders effecting fine motor skills could use AND enjoy. Inspired by Jan Olsen, OTR and the Handwriting Without Tears program, she invented Crayon Rocks. Not only do they have a tripod grip, unlike standard crayons made with petroleum-based wax, Crayon Rocks are made from soybeans in the USA.
