The Tree of Life tee displays a rain forest tree crying leaves that symbolize its tears, and fish that have died and lay floating in water due to rain forest pollution. Many of the children who created art for the Rain Tee Collection witness the destruction of their rain forest homes each day. Mariela of Peru shows us so specifically through this image what we are not seeing in our homelands.

About Andira
Andira retusa, a Brazilian tree species. Has purple flowers, and a slight aroma of oranges.
Beth Doane, Founder Andira International and the Andira Rain-Tee Collection, named her company, "Andira" after a tall tree that grows in the Brazilian Amazon. For centuries, indigenous people have used the Andira for its medicinal properties. However, due to logging and deforestation, the species has been vastly devastated.
Because of facts like these, it is Beth's goal to create awareness and global change through education, preservation and reforestation of our planet through industries such as apparel.
Every Andira collection is made using fair labor practices, eco-conscious production, and contains no animal parts or products as we believe fashion should always be cruelty free. Andira also offers a Rescue an Animal Program through her charity Merazonia which rescues trafficked and abused Amazonian animals. Learn about rescuing an endangered animal on our BLOG.
